Insurance

Hang gliding is a dangerous activity. Third party insurance is required and is provided by membership to the BHPA, (The British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association), at approx £10 per day payable on arrival. You must be over 18 years old. You are advised to discuss your intentions with your family and/or loved ones.

Booking Acceptance

Indicate above which course you intend to take. Read and accept the conditions in the "Agreement and Liability" section below, then sign the form with your details in the presence of a third party witness. Send this form together with payment, (cheques payable to "South Downs Hang Gliding"), to us at the above address.

We will then send you booking confirmation with details of how to proceed. Hang gliding is a weather dependant sport; if your day is cancelled you can rebook for another day without charge. All courses are valid for 6 months from the day of payment.

Agreement and Liability Acceptance

1)I understand that Hang-Gliding is a dangerous activity, which may result in injury, permanent disability or death.
2) I intend to attempt the training exercises described in the BHPA Student Training Syllabus.
3) I understand that my BHPA licensed Instructors will supervise my use of the training site and my use of the school equipment. (Permission to use the site or equipment may be withdrawn at any time for any reason whatsoever.)
4) I agree to fully inspect the site and equipment before use and accept responsibility for site dangers and/or equipment failure.
5) I understand that my Instructors are trained in First Aid, but I do not expect of them any extra duty of care than from any others present.
6) I am an independent adult acting freely and without coercion. I fully accept all the risks when learning to Hang-Glide.
